Itinerary
The Arrival: A private transfer whisks you from the bustle of Delhi to the quiet convenience of Aerocity.
Overnight Aerocity, Delhi
The Ascent: A short, dramatic flight brings you to the edge of the Dhauladhars.
The Afternoon: Once settled in Dharamshala, we dive straight into the pulse of the town. Wander through the vibrant markets and the lively streets, lined with cafes, prayer flags, bookstores, and the hum of Tibetan life. It’s a sensory introduction to a culture in exile.
Overnight Dharamshala
The Morning: We begin at the Gyuto Monastery, listening to the deep, resonant chanting of the monks. Then, a visit to the Dalai Lama Temple Complex, a place of profound peace where the spirit of Tibet remains unshakable.
The Afternoon: We shift from prayer to practice at the Norbulingka Institute — a sanctuary for the soul’s work. Watch artisans breathe life into Thangka paintings and metalwork, ensuring ancient skills don’t vanish into the mist.
Overnight Dharamshala
The Heritage Trail: We head to the Masroor Rock Cut Temple, carved out of a single monolithic rock in the 8th century. The temple complex features a striking mix of Vedic and Puranic Hindu deities.
The Evening: After a guided stroll through the ancient temple, we retreat to the lush, green slopes of Palampur.
Overnight Palampur
The Morning: A slow start among the tea gardens. We take a Tea Tour that goes beyond the cup; try your hand at plucking the ‘two leaves and a bud’ and learn the alchemy of the manufacturing process.
The Afternoon: We drive to the artist colony of Andretta. Here, we visit the Shobha Singh Art Gallery and sit at a potter’s wheel to feel the clay of the hills. We end at the home of Norah Richards, a tribute to her role in shaping Indian theatre and arts.
Overnight Palampur
The Journey: A scenic drive across the winding ridges of Himachal. As the elevation changes, so does the light.
The Evening: Arrive in Shimla, the former summer capital. As the sun sets, we take a slow walk along The Mall Road, where the world still feels a little bit like the early 1900s.
Overnight Shimla
The Walk: We take a Guided Heritage Walk through the heart of Shimla. This isn’t just about buildings; it’s about the stories behind the stone. From the neo-Gothic Christ Church to the Victorian Gaiety Theatre, we unpack the scandals, the politics, and the ghosts of the British Raj.
Overnight Shimla
The Experience: We end with a love letter to slow travel. Board the historic Toy Train from Shimla to Kalka — one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the world, winding through 100+ tunnels and over arched bridges at a pace that lets you wave at the mountain children.
The Farewell: Your driver meets you at Kalka for the final stretch to Chandigarh airport.
Overnight Departure
May the mountains remind you to slow down, the rivers teach you to flow, and the people inspire you to return.
