Assamese Hospitality: Arrive by afternoon, where your driver will transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of your day letting the quiet, slow pace of the Assamese valley settle in.

Overnight Jorhat

Crossing the Brahmaputra: Head early to Nimati Ghat and board a local ferry across the massive, ocean-like mighty Brahmaputra River to Majuli Island, the largest river island on Earth.

Island Culture: Spend the day exploring peaceful villages, ancient monasteries, and vibrant local traditions that have flourished here for centuries. Meet local artisans, witness the island's unique way of life, and enjoy the serenity that makes Majuli unlike anywhere else in India. Return to Jorhat by late afternoon.

Overnight Kaziranga

The Morning Mist: Wake before dawn for an unforgettable early morning elephant ride through the dew-soaked grasslands, getting close enough to see the breath of the prehistoric Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros. Return to your lodge for a hearty breakfast.

Afternoon Wilderness Drive: Later in the afternoon, head back into the national park on a jeep safari, searching for elephants, swamp deer, wild buffalo, vibrant birdlife, and the rich biodiversity that makes Kaziranga a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Cloud Climb: After breakfast, bid farewell to Kaziranga and begin your journey towards Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya.

Tranquil Waters: En route, pause at the breathtaking Umiam Lake (Barapani), admiring its vast, mirror-like blue waters framed by pine forests. Reach Shillong by late afternoon, check in to your hotel, and enjoy the cool mountain air.

Overnight Shillong

The Mountain Faith: Start your morning at the serene, grand Laitkor Catholic Church. Follow this with an ascent to the Shillong View Point, trekking under the pine canopy of the Upper Shillong Forest where the air smells crisply of damp earth.

The Edge of the World: Spend your evening standing at the precipice of Laitlum Canyon. Watch the endless green valleys drop thousands of feet below as ribbons of mist dance through the gorges.

Overnight Shillong

Asia's Cleanest Village: After breakfast, take a day trip to Mawlynnong, famous for its pristine, flower-lined streets, where every corner reflects the community's deep respect for nature. Continue to Riwai to witness the remarkable Living Root Bridge, patiently shaped by nature and generations of the Khasi people.
